The ALEX Project was set up by a group of sex workers who have experienced the challenges of accessing services which do not understand their needs.
We are building a community of sex workers who can access peer support and guidance, supplies, signposting, counselling (from people with lived experience in our industry) and more.
Any support you receive from us, or workshops you take with us will be ran by someone who is either a current or former sex worker. We run workshops both in person and online, on anything from how to do your taxes to breathwork and self-care, as well as providing spaces to simply hang out and chat. We are always open to suggestions from the sex work community on what would be helpful or needed!
We believe that having a safe, anonymous space with other workers is invaluable, and we are constantly building on what we offer.
On this website is a password-protected resource library with lots of useful information to read regarding things like healthcare, safety and the law. It also contains a page with updates on workshops and events we are involved in, as well as any other general updates around the project and our community.
The resource library is password-protected to try and ensure that only those within our community have access to it- but if you are a sex worker who would like access please visit the 'Contact Us' page, and let us know!
